The Motorcycle Business of the Zhejiang ZhongNeng Industry Group

The Zhejiang ZhongNeng Industry Group was established in 1987; since then it has been devoting itself in optimising the city's traffic condition and improving the pleasure of travelling and riding. It makes 'becoming the world famous motorcycle brand and everyone takes pride in owning one ZNEN motorcycle' as its ultimate goal.

The Zhejiang ZhongNeng Industry Group, headquartered in the hometown of scooters-Taizhou of Zhejiang, east to the 104 National Road, 2.5 kilometres away from the Huangyan Airport in the North, and 14.5 kilometres away from the Haimen Port; the transportation is very convenient. The Zhejiang ZhongNeng Industry Group is a modernised enterprise group which integrates product R & D, production and sales. Its subsidiary the Taizhou Zhongneng Motorcycle Co., Ltd. has passed all the items of the national motor vehicle production access; its products have passed the CCC certification with most of them having passed the E-Mark certification; it comprehensively carries out the ISO9001 quality control system guided by scientific production management. The production workshop adopts closed modernised plant, and owns advanced automatic inspection centre and production lines, which powerfully guarantees the product quality and wins users' trust and recognition. It is concentrated on the study and introduction of the latest technologies and the improvement and development of products, and faces the market with larger input and continuous innovation.

ZNEN motorcycles now have two major series and dozens of motorcycle models with an annual production capacity of more than 200,000 motorcycles and 300,000 engines. In order to make use of the advantage of regional matching system, the Company has invested in building scooter and street motorcycle production bases respectively in Taizhou and Guangdong; the scooter production in Taizhou is capable of producing 120,000 whole motorcycles and 200,000 engines; the first phase of the project in Guangdong with an annual production capability of 60,000 street motorcycles has been put into use, and the construction of the second phase of the street motorcycle project in Guangdong with an annual production capability of 100,000 whole motorcycles and 80,000 engines and a land occupation of 100mu has already been started.

The Zhejiang ZhongNeng Industry Group, which regards talents as the root of the enterprise's development, has abundant technical force and rich human resources; the employees of the headquarters and subsidiaries reach more than 20,000, among whom, the engineers and technicians which senior, medium and primary grade professional titles account for 10% of the total stuff; the foreign trade, sales and after sales service personnel account for 15% of the total stuff; the purchase and material managers take up 15% of the total stuff.

In the past twenty years, the Zhejiang ZhongNeng Industry Group cooperated with the senior American motorcycle company successfully; this helped the Zhejiang ZhongNeng Industry Group to become one of the earliest Chinese motorcycle producers which gained the American EPA and DOT certifications and also increased the Zhejiang ZhongNeng Industry Group's confidence to expand on the American market; as for its development in Europe, the Zhejiang ZhongNeng Industry Group aimed at Italy which is the world's scooter birth place; it successfully developed a series of classical models including C F8 by cooperating closely with the Italian motorcycle producer which has over a hundred years' production experience and which is Vespa's biggest rival in Italy and also has the same history as Piaggio.
